Public Relations Manager

Qualifications & Requirements:

      1. Possess a Degree in Public Relations / Communications / Journalism, or related field
      2. Minimum 8 – 10 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or a similar role
      3. Experience in a creative agency environment managing multi-brand communications is an added advantage
      4. Proven expertise in media relations, crisis management and team leadership
      5. Proficient in PR tools, digital media trends, and analytics platforms
      6. Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, adaptable across various PR campaigns and communication channels
      7. Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in additional language is an added advantage

Responsibilities:

      1. Develop and execute PR strategies that align with SOP’s vision, ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms
      2. Serve as the primary media liaison, maintain strong relationships with media contacts to ensure positive brand coverage
      3. Lead crisis communications efforts to protect and manage SOP’s reputation effectively
      4. Oversee internal communication, employee engagement initiatives, and external events, including SOP Foundation programmes
      5. Manage the PR team, promoting collaboration, creativity, and alignment with organizational objectives
      6. Ensure all PR materials and communications adhere to SOP’s branding guidelines across multiple brands
      7. Guide digital communications strategies and evaluate campaign effectiveness using analytics and performance metrics
