Qualifications & Requirements:

1. 1. 1. Possess a Degree in Agronomy, Agriculture Science, Plantation Management or related field. (Master’s Degree is an added advantage)
      2. Minimum 8-10 years of experience in oil palm plantation, agronomy, or crop management, with proven leadership exposure
      3. Strong knowledge of crop management, soil science and plant nutrition is an added advantage
      4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities
      5. Willing and able to work in various field conditions and travel to different estates locations as required

Responsibilities:

1. 1. 1. Lead and oversee the Agronomy Unit of SOPB Group, providing technical direction and guidance to agronomists and estate teams
      2. Develop and implement long-term agronomic strategies to enhance FFB yield and overall plantation performance
      3. Formulate and monitor fertilizer programs based on soil and leaf analysis
      4. Oversee crop nutrition management, soil conservation, and implementation of best agronomic practices
      5. Analyse estate performance data (yield trends, rainfall, manuring efficiency) and recommend improvement measures
      6. Lead research trials, including field data collection, foliar and soil sampling, and evaluation of new planting materials and agronomic technologies
      7. Provide agronomy support to oil palm nurseries
      8. Deliver training and technical support to estate personnel on agronomy, nutrient management, pest and disease control
      9. Provide support and training on resolving issues related to pests and diseases in oil palm
      10. Prepare management reports and present agronomic performance updates to the Management
