MIRI, 24 June – Today, SOP Foundation proudly sponsored the Inter Miri Division Secondary Schools Choral Speaking Competition, highlighting SOP’s commitment to promoting education and supporting youth in Sarawak. Held at Mega Hotel in Miri, the competition attracted over 240 participants from twelve (12) schools across the Miri Division.

The event featured captivating performances by talented students, evaluated by esteemed judges who offered valuable feedback to motivate students to excel in their performances and creativity. The Best Conductor Award was presented to Isabelle Teo of SMK Chung Hua. The Champion was awarded to SMK Taman Tunku, with SMK Chung Hua, SMK Baru, SMK Merbau, and SMK Agama following in Second to Fifth Places respectively.

Mdm. Nancy Anak Ngaran, Headmistress of SMK Luak, expressed gratitude to SOP Foundation for their generous sponsorship and unwavering support throughout the event. “SOP – Sarawak Oil Palms financial support and dedication to providing platforms for students to perform are invaluable, especially in the education sector here in Miri,” she remarked.
