
SOP’s Indonesian Expatriates Across Sarawak Celebrate 80th Independence Day
MIRI, 17 Aug – Sarawak Oil Palms (SOP) brought together its Indonesian expatriate employees across Sarawak to commemorate the 80th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia in a vibrant celebration of camaraderie and national pride.
The celebration, held simultaneously across SOP’s estates and operating units, reflected the spirit of unity while paying tribute to Indonesia’s strong patriotic values. Employees and their families participated in traditional games, the singing of the national anthem, and a variety of activities that strengthened bonds within the SOP community.
SOP’s management emphasised that the event was not only a recognition of a significant national milestone for Indonesian colleagues but also a demonstration of the company’s commitment to fostering inclusivity and togetherness within its diverse workforce.
