Conservation Assistant

Qualifications & Requirements:

      1. SPM holder or Certificate/Diploma in Environmental Science, Forestry, Biology, Agricultural Science, or related field
      2. Minimum 1 – 2 year(s) of relevant experience in environmental or conservation work
      3. Familiarity with MSPO, HCV, or other conservation standards will be an advantage
      4. Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
      5. Basic computer literacy, with ability in simple writing and reporting
      6. Physically fit and willing to work under various plantation environments and relocate to different estate location as required
      7. Possess valid Class B2 and D driving license and able to drive off-road vehicles

Responsibilities:

      1. Assist and support Conservation Executive in implementing conservation programs and initiatives within the company’s plantations
      2. Supervise field activities related to nurseries and conservation areas
      3. Assist in collaborative projects relevant to conservation and biodiversity
      4. Conduct monitoring of High Conservation Value (HCV) areas, data collection and maintain conservation field records
      5. Assist in organizing and participating in community engagement and awareness programs related to conservation
      6. Perform other tasks assigned by the superior in relation to sustainability and conservation
