SOPB launched its “Oil Palms Sustainability Policy (OPSP)” in January 2019. The policy was communicated to our stakeholders at three different venues, namely Singapore (22 February), Miri (18 March) and Kuala Lumpur (16 April) to highlight SOPB’s unwavering commitment towards ‘No deforestation’, ‘No Peat’ and ‘No Exploitation’ and the constant need to have a sustainable supply chain backed by robust policies which will eventually be socialised with the local oil palm industry players.

OPSP launched at Singapore on 22 February 2019.

OPSP launched at Kuala Lumpur on 16 April 2019.

These events were attended by 134 senior representatives from 71 major plantation companies, refiners, bankers, futures brokers, buyers, suppliers and surveyor companies. SOPB’s senior management including Group Chief Executive Officer Paul Wong Hee Kwong and Chief Operating Officer Eric Kiu Kwong Seng hosted the sessions.

OPSP launched at Miri on 18 March 2019.
