Qualifications & Requirements:

1. 1. 1. Possess a Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA or MIA membership
      2. Preferably 3 – 5 years of accounting experience in auditing, commercial accounting, or a similar capacity.
      3. Experience in the plantation industry is an added advantage
      4. Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards, Corporate Tax, Indirect Taxes, Sales and Service Tax (SST), the Companies Act, and other statutory requirements
      5. Familiar with daily accounting activities including banking transactions, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance
      6. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and computerized accounting systems
      7. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
      8. Good communication and interpersonal skills
      9. Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks efficiently

Responsibilities:

1. 1. 1. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement
      2. Ensure timely closing of accounts and submission of reports within stipulated deadlines
      3. Assist in corporate tax, SST, withholding tax, and other statutory submissions
      4. Support budget preparations, including analysing and monitoring of actual financial performance against approved budgets
      5. Liaise with tax agents, auditors, company secretary, bankers, and relevant authorities when required.
      6. Supervise direct subordinates within the department
      7. Coordinate with relevant departments within the Group to ensure timely completion of departmental tasks and reporting requirements
