MIRI: Sarawak Oil Palms BerÂhad (SOPB) held its first bienÂnial blood donaÂtion drive yesterÂday at MRC Miri TrainÂing InstiÂtute after it has been brought to a temÂporÂary halt due to the Covid19 outÂbreak in 2020.
The blood donaÂtion camÂpaign is part of SOPB’s corÂporÂate social responsÂibÂilÂity (CSR) programme and is held twice a year in supÂport of Miri HosÂpital Blood Bank.
“HopeÂfully this effort could assist the blood bank to overÂcome the shortÂage of blood supply. We would like to thank the pubÂlic for their supÂport towards our blood donaÂtion drive, as well as our staff memÂbers who stepped forÂward and donated blood,” said AssistÂant Head of SupÂport and SerÂvices of SOPB, Joseph Ling.
The blood donaÂtion camÂpaign manÂaged to colÂlect 80 pints of blood from 95 parÂtiÂcipants and each donor received a goodie bag and a bottle of MerÂris Pure VegetÂable CookÂing Oil proÂduced locÂally in SOPB’s refinery.
