Sarawak Oil Palms (SOP), organized another successful social hiking event in conjunction with SOP 56KM Virtual Run at Niah National Park on 11 May 2024. Despite heavy rain in the morning, almost 200 SOP staff from various departments across Sarawak patiently waited for the weather to clear and participated in the said social hiking event. The event aimed to promote a healthy lifestyle and foster teamwork amongst SOP’s employees and their loved ones. Also, participants had the opportunity to mingle with members from various departments and locations, fostering cross-team connections and collaboration.
The participants were divided into groups and embarked on a guided hiking trail that took them through the stunning rainforest of Niah National Park. Additionally, an after-session lucky draw offered participants the opportunity to win cash prizes, injecting an extra layer of excitement and enjoyment into the event.
The SOP Social Hiking is an initiative under the SOP Wellness Programme to encourage its employees and their families to engage in physical activities that promote well-being and healthy living.
