MIRI, 19 SEPT – Sarawak Oil Palms (SOP) took its annual Kasi Jadi Social Hiking to a new destination this year, welcoming 170 participants to Lambir Hills National Park for the first time last Saturday.
The event brought together SOP staff from various departments and locations across Sarawak, along with several family members, for a morning of healthy living, outdoor adventure, and meaningful connections. After gathering early, participants set off on two designated hiking routes, enjoying the scenic trails and waterfalls of the national park along the way.
More than just a recreational activity, the SOP Kasi Jadi Social Hiking continues to reflect the company’s commitment to promoting employee wellbeing and fostering stronger relationships across its workforce. By introducing a different hiking location this year, the programme offered participants a fresh experience while encouraging teamwork and unity beyond the workplace.
“We are delighted to see another strong turnout for the SOP Kasi Jadi Social Hiking. It is encouraging to witness staff from across Sarawak coming together in support of a shared commitment to health, teamwork, and employee wellbeing,” said Jack Jong, Senior Sales & Distribution Manager, who also took part in this year’s hike.
The programme concluded with participants reporting back to the working committee after safely completing their respective trails, followed by lunch handouts, bringing the day to a fun and memorable close.
Through initiatives such as the SOP Kasi Jadi Social Hiking, SOP continues to cultivate a workplace culture that values wellbeing, unity, and meaningful connections among its people across Sarawak.
