MIRI, 24 APRSarawak Oil Palms Berhad (SOP) successfully hosted its 2026 Annual Dinner last Friday, welcoming over 1,300 attendees from across Malaysia, including its Board of Directors, senior management, employees, and their spouses. The evening served as a platform to celebrate achievements, recognise contributions, and strengthen unity across the Group.

Held in a vibrant retro-themed setting inspired by the 70s, 80s, and 90s, the event reflected SOP’s dynamic culture while celebrating the Group’s achievements in 2025. The evening commenced with the arrival of distinguished leaders, including Group Executive Chairman Mr. Jeff Ling, Group Chief Executive Officer Mr. Paul Wong, Chief Operating Officer Mr. Eric Kiu, and Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Plantation) Mr. Tho.

In his opening speech, Group Chief Executive Officer Mr. Paul Wong shared, “As we move into 2026, our focus is on strengthening how we operate — with greater excellence, precision and pride in everything we do.” He also introduced the Group Management Committee (GMC) as the Company’s highest management platform, highlighting its role in enhancing focus, alignment, and execution across the Group.

A key highlight of the evening was the official unveiling of SOP’s new tagline, “Live Better, Live Sustainable”, reflecting the Group’s commitment to delivering quality products while upholding responsible and sustainable practices across its value chain.

The programme also featured the SINCERE Pledge Commitment Signing, where SOP’s leadership reaffirmed their dedication to core values through a symbolic signing ceremony.

Throughout the evening, SOP celebrated excellence across its operations through a series of award presentations, including the Highest Yield Achievement Estate, Best Improved Estate and Mill, Best Performance Improvement Plant (Downstream), Mill with the Highest Oil Extraction Rate, Long Service Awards, and the SOP Education Excellence Awards for employees’ children. The Kasi Simple Award segment also recognised employee-driven ideas aimed at streamlining processes and improving efficiency across the Group.

Attendees were entertained with lively dance performances, a magic show, games, and a retro-themed Best Costume competition, adding energy and nostalgia to the celebration. The evening concluded on a high note with the much-anticipated Grand Lucky Draw.

The 2026 Annual Dinner not only recognised outstanding achievements but also reinforced SOP’s commitment to its people, values, and a sustainable future.
