MIRI: Sarawak Oil Palms Berhad ( SOPB) celebrated its 50th anniversary with a golf tournament recently.

Held at Eastwood Valley Golf and Country Club here the tournament attracted 20 golfers from various corporations such as Malaysian Palm Oil Board ( MPOB), Bintulu Port Authority, Ta Ann Group and Woodman Group.

Participants were divided into two groups as they played according to the Stable ford game format while competing for events such as the longest drive, nearest to the link and nearest to the pin.

Winners of the main event were Tang Sing Chong from Gaya Bestari Sdn Bhd (Group A) and A. K Kumaran from Keresa Plantations Sdn Bhd (Group B).

The event also raised RM7,000 for PDK Miri through Association of Parents with Special Children ( PIBAKIS) Miri by SOP Group of Companies with three other corporate bodies namely Dai Lieng Machinery Sdn Bhd, Keresa Plantations Sdn Bhd and Hass Enterprise Sdn Bhd.
